To make sure that the training of workers in the disability sector is successful in accommodating the needs of all citizens, the training itself needs to be inclusive. Therefore, one of the core objectives pursued by the New Paths to InclUsion Network is to develop best practice in inclusive training that can be replicated by other providers of vocational training to allow for inclusion of all learners, including persons with intellectual disabilities.

The leading partner Innovia from Austria has developed draft guidelines for inclusive trainings and an easy-to-use evaluation sheet that will help the partnership to remember the aspects of inclusiveness in all trainings. Both proposals were used and discussed during the preparatory workshop for the European Inclusion Training (Work Package 2) and will be used in the upcoming national trainings on Person Centred Planning.

The experiences made during the project will be used to produce a handbook 'How to design inclusive trainings'. It will be developed in cooperation with all members of the Network and it will incorporate expert input from the European Platform of Self-Advocates.

The Handbook together with all the materials produced within the framework of this project will be available in the Online Knowledge Centre on the project website
